We regret to post that the 2022 Roy Varney Hornet Classic is canceled. It was a painful and tough decision but with the predicted wind chill between -17 and -12 and wind gusts near 28mph, it is too risky. Though the predicted air temp of 6 degrees is raceable, it is the wind chill and speed that is concerning. For the safety of the racers, volunteers, spectators, and coaches, we need to cancel the race. We will look to have a mini-version of the race on Tuesday, January 25th at the MOWC. Details about that will be posted soon.
